Might be the Panasonic AG-HPX255 or the Sony HXR-NX3.

If you have a better picture the manufacturer name in on the
handle strap.

That's all I have I am afraid.

Excellent point I could read it it says sony

Do you think it's Sony HXR-NX3?

What are the good and bad points please?

Short documentary I am thinking?
Screwwit! For that coin you might as well start shooting full length documentaries.
Nah, that camera and anything like it will be fine.
Largely you're more dependent upon what tech specs the venues you intend to show your doc demand from your submission, and that's more of a NLE issue.
Mainly you wanna determine if you wanna buy a 4:2:0 camera or a 4:2:2 camera.

Do a google image search for "documentary crew."
You'll see a lot of these type results:

Notice how everyone has a sound guy with a boom pole and field recorder?
Start doing homework on recording GOOD CLEAN AUDIO!!!

indiejunior - If you want a relatively inexpensive handheld pro camcorder, you can spend less than 2000€ for the brand new Sony PXW-X70 - a more modern camera than the NX3 with a much larger sensor, a 10-bit 4:2:2 codec and upgradability to Ultra HD ("4K") in 2015.

Here's a doc shot with this camera:

An example of the shallow depth of field you can get with this camera's 1" sensor and built-in ND filter:

An example of 1080/60p slow motion (European cameras will record at up to 1080/50p):

Hope this is helpful and best of the holidays!
