video card upgrade

Ok guys, I need some help here. I've been trying to find a new video card for my desktop, but I'm just finding it a bit confusing and I don't want to buy something only to find out that it's not compatible.

Here's my computer specs (don't laugh):
compaq presario SR5310F
motherboard: IPILP-LC (Lancaster8)

According to the manufacturer's site (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...kId=101&prodSeriesId=3644727&prodTypeId=12454) I've got 2 PCI slots, 1 PCI Express x16 graphics slot, and 1 PCI Express x1 slot.

Which of those 'slot types' would be best for my video card? Does it matter? If it's a regular PCI slot, will any PCI video card fit? It seems like the biggest selection of cards fall into the PCI Express 2.0 type. Are those compatible with any of my slots?

My requirements for the card:

1. s-video out is a must, I watch a lot of stuff on my computer and I'd really like to be able to use my TV as a secondary monitor for netflix and hulu and such. Already have the s-video to RCA cord from when I had a laptop with tv-out.

2. It has to work.

3. It has to be under 50 bucks.

Here's some that I've found so far. Will these fit/suit my needs? Which one is better?

Thanks in advance, friends! I really wouldn't know where to go for these answers if it weren't for you nice folks :D

Your computer is not that bad, I have worked on less
The thing is that a VGA upgrade won't do you much good right now, but on the secondary monitor aspect.
If I were you I would save that money (50+shipping and more if you need someone to install it for you, could do it yourself tho, easy stuff)
Nowadays you can build a nice editing PC with anything from 400-600 bucks.

Thanks for the reply :) You may be right about saving up for a better computer, but that's not top of the list for me right now. I'm working with what I've got. :/

The upgrade is mainly for the tv-out, since I can't afford a new tv with vga input and I'm pretty sick of my apartment always looking cluttered from having the computer monitor in weird places to watch stuff :P

I figured any improvement editing-wise from my on-board card would just be gravy.

So bearing in mind I'm gonna purchase a new card, are any of the links I posted compatible with my comp?
