I would like to capture and archive all my dv tapes and card based AVCHD footage onto HD storage using some form of standalone programme. The programme should be able to create a database with thumbnail index of the stored material. CatDV is one of the programmes that could be used but it is only suitable for DV storage and not for HDV or AVCHD footage. Is there a suitable capture, archive and database creation programme, PC based, available that will embrace DV, HDV and AVCHD video?

Hey.. good topic, Iv been looking for a media management database.

Iv tried playing with adobe media bridge, but cant seem to do the things I want to do, which is like ad tags\kewords to footage and then be able to search for footage based on those tags..
