lighting Using my new(to me) light meter.

Equipment: Canon 518 super8 camera shooting @ 18 fps. Sekonic L-28c2 light meter.

Film: VISION3 200T Color Negative Film 7213

Hopefully that's all the info you guys will need. So I take a reading(Star Trek much) of 64 ft. candles.

The way I'm reading the meter, I think I should set my camera to f4.

Does that sound right to you guys???

When I dial that into my 398 it calls for 1/3 down from 2.8 (2.4/4 split, but closer to 2.8).*

Not sure though, there are other folks with more super8 skills than I.

* - reading from the 18fps marker on the cine scale.

I get closer to 4 on my analogue, dialing in 200 ASA & an EV of 9.

(Rough conversion of fc to ev, 'cos my meter is pretty basic - lots of rounding)

Pretty sure that it was somewhere around ev 8-9 when I dialed it up. Funny thing is all three of these are probably old meters that are slightly off calibration.
