UK Film Council

I'm looking to fund my first feature film but the UK Film Council was my first port of call for funding. I know it's been shut down, but the website is still running. Is it worth applying for funding or is it pointless now?

The UKFC has been stripped of a considerable amount of funding, although i do believe it's undergoings are now run by BIFF. (British Independent Film Foundation). Yet, i've heard nothing that they've started their programme yet.

Here is a link I found with a little google searching.

It takes alot to gain funding/investment in the recent climate. I'm not sure this is the best route to take, and it may take just aslong to secure a solid pitch/resume as it would to muster the funds yourself, but when there's a will there's a way.
