I can't drag/import my video onto it, nothing works. file > import file > import media, nothing happens. I drag the video onto "Master" or "No clips in media pool", nothing happens.

Trying to use Da Vinci Resolve, but I can't import my video.

What kid of video file is it? Is it made with a sony fs7 or fs5?
That's strange...But Resolve does not suport a few of the avi files. Try converting it with Mediacoder. Convert it to ProRes or DNxHD.
With the free version?
I use to run into this problem with the FS5 and FS7 files with free version of 15
