TIFF!

Hey did anyone else go to the Toronto International Film Festival out there in Indie Talk land? I went in both 2009 and this past September 2010 and saw quite a few really great films, but my favorite was the Danish film "Applaus" in the 2009 festival. Amazing performance by actress Paprika Steen. I'm stoked to hear it's coming to the states in January I think! here's the site if anyone wants to take a look - http://applausemovie.com/

What films did you guys like at TIFF?

My pick from this year was Julia's Eyes. Fantastic movie. Also liked Stake Land. Wanted to see Monsters and I'm Still Here but couldn't fit them in, though I briefly met the director of Monsters.

Last year, my pick was Symbol.

I really wanted to go this year, but I knew nothing about which films to go to or how to choose which ones I wanted to watch, kinda new to this scene, but hopefully next year! I mean you can't live in Toronto and NOT go to the TIFF.
