This is probally a crazy idea

Im not sure if this is the right place or not, but ive had an idea for a really long time. Earlier today I posted a demo reel of my colorized black and white footage. I really love doing that. I find it extremely fun, lol to alot of people disbelievement. What I really want to do though is work on a new movie. I want to work on a movie that has a really well written script, shoot the whole thing in black and white, and go back and color only certain things. I want to make a Sin city meets a wes anderson movie. If anyone has any interest in this let me know because I can put an entire team of post production together. I can 3d model, animate, composite, rotoscope,rotopaint, colorize, 3d track, and stereoscopic convert things. I'm a student at the D.A.V.E school and im about to graduate. I'd just really like to work on something cool and original as opposed to going to some big company and rotoscoping all day long.
 
I don't think it's a crazy idea at all. I think it's an excellent idea. In fact, when I saw your demo reel (which is beautiful), the very first thing I thought is that it'd be really cool to shoot a movie in black-and-white and have you colorize it. I'm in post on my current project, and probably won't be shooting my next project until late-Summer of 2011, but I think it would be brilliant to use your colorization effect (the next project is a Western). I'm sure you'll find a project long before then, but hypothetically, if you're looking for a project at that time, I'll hit you up, let you read the script, etc.

Whether it be mine, or someone else's, I hope you find a worthy project to put this to use. Cheers!
 
Man that sounds amazing i'd love to work on a western. Thanks!! im not gonna lie I was really scared about putting it up because I didnt think it was any good. Definetly send it to me i'm always down to help out a fellow virginian ( im from newport news).
 
well I got the idea from the movie pleasentville . I was talking to west wing studios who made that and the said they shot in all in black and white and hand colored everything
 
I havent seen your demo yet. (on phone) but i will and it sounds like an awesomeee idea.

Would you be intrested in doing a short like that? If so id love to.
 
I think a western would be the way to go. People are starving for a good western anymore. I'm wanting to shoot one at the ranch where I filmed GT at.

Great idea btw, sounds like a winner.
 
Yea i really want to do the western idea. I thought about it all day yesterday and i'd love to help do a really badass western bc i cant think of the last time i saw a good one.
