One story. Thousands of storytellers.

Three quick questions for you:

• Do you want to win £5,000?
• Can you pick up a camera?
• Do you know what the Nativity is?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, The Nativity Factor is for you.

The Nativity Factor is a short film competition from ITN Productions and the Sainsbury Trust, free to enter and open to everyone.

£5,000 goes to the contestant who comes up with the most original and creative take on the Nativity story, with £1,000 going to the best Under-16 entrant.

You don’t have to be an expert filmmaker to enter. Just grab a camera, film your idea and submit it to us at http://www.thenativityfactor.com for your chance to win a cash prize and see your video promoted around the world.

Hi Paul,

We are accepting entries from around the world, however for legal reasons the prize money is only available to residents of the United Kingdom (however if you have at least one team member based in the UK then that would count).

I believe it's "up to" because there's two prizes:

The winning video in the Over 16s category will win a cash prize of £5,000, publicity for their film, and a day spent at our broadcast studios watching live news being aired.

There is a separate prize for the Under 16s of £1,000, plus publicity, and a day spent at our broadcast studios watching live news being aired.

And thanks for the offer Nick! We have a really close friend in Britain though we already talked to about it haha. Otherwise, would totally take you up on it.

I do have a question though. Ours is using children for actors, but produced by people well over 16 and we want it to be considered for the grand prize. Is that ok?

I would love to participate, but I have this feeling that what I come up with will be rather offensive to the church. Is that OK? Are all interpretations or inspirations based on the nativity welcome?

Sorry I didn't answer these questions, the instant email notification didn't work for some reason!?! Hopefully you guys were able to get your answers in other ways - Paul I believe Chris emailed me to explain that, and that was all fine (as you have been entered in the adult comp).

Anyways, the final submission date has now passed; to see all the videos and vote, visit http://bit.ly/tnfvote

Dreadylocks, at this point it's academic (and sorry to have missed this thread out before), but to answer your question it would depend on if we judged it to break the terms and conditions: http://thenativityfactor.com/TermsAndConditions
