archived-videos Super 8

So I've always wanted to make a super 8 short and I finally got the chance.

Check it out because I'm stoked with my exposure and the way the film came out but the story is all over the place.
I need advice on what I should do with the current footage because alas there is no chance of a re shoot.

I love the black and white. I, too, liked the exposure and the way
it looks. Super 8 is a favorite of mine - I've shot several shorts,
music videos and two features with it. I agree with you; the story
is all over the place. I have no idea what's going on.

I really think one problem is your choice of music. It doesn't seem
to fit and it's too well known. Have you considered finding a local
band to write something? Something that fits the look and mood
of the film? Not only would it elevate your project artistically, but
you could get more exposure by not using music you don't have
permission to use.

Right now it's like just about every amateur movie out there. Add
an original music track and some ambient audio and you have
something unique and original.

To be honest, I felt like I followed the story just fine..

I would agree that the music is too well known and using it without permission seriously limits your exposure.

The film already sort of reads like a music video, maybe it would be a good fit for the music of a local band.. maybe intercut some shots of the band, and there ya go, instant music video.
