Easily the funniest show I've seen all year to feature the word "mid-rape".

It's gettin' better, man, and you've turned me around on the show somewhat. I was actually looking forward to watching the latest instalment :)

Glad to hear maz :) My favorite part about this episode was that I didn't have to do so much VFX work!

I came across your YouTube while stalking members here *creep face* and this was the first episode I watched. I subsequently started going through more of the series. This episode was definitely a good hook!

I like the show man, I'm going to follow the Twitter (and your Twitter), like the Facebook and sub the YouTube! :) keep it up man.

It also seems like it'd be a fun show to make, and for no budget I assume? Have you thought about making a behind the scenes video of how you produce one of these episodes? I for one would like to see it.

One thing I'd like to see improved though is the VFX. Maybe if you just spend a day upgrading your models (asteroids, ships, space background) as well as your title sequence, it'd really pump up the quality of the show over the long term. Main thing to pump up: textures - if you give the models some more texture, they'll look less plasticy and more like they've spent a bit of time in space. With the space background, have a tiny bit more colour in some stars, add more distance between stars, and give the black a bit of a skybox gradient. If you work in Blender, this will all be really easy. Actually, what 3D software do you use?

All the backgrounds for the green screen (I assume you use green screen) are good though :)

Once again, keep it up man!

For me, the ultra-cheap FX feed into the cheap sci-fi pastiche thing that's going on. That's the best thing about this series: the way it makes me roll my eyes at yet another cliche, and then addresses the fact that it's a cliche.

mussonman, why don't you have credits at all? You have guest actors (I assume the main guy is you?) and the series is technically proficient so it'd be nice to see some names for who does what.

You have a good point there, maz...

But I still think the title sequence could do with some work. At least a more spacey font for the logo? (maybe ripping off a sci fi font like the one used with Star Wars or Star Trek or whatever).

Going with the cheap sci-fi cliches though, perhaps Artie's voice could be a little more robotic? Throw an effect on there in audio production maybe?

And maybe, if you have the budget for it, give Navin a cheesy "space outlaw" costume? Something Han Solo-ish maybe...

I'm not sure, I'll leave the creativity to you mussonman, but the point is this has the potential to be a really cool series :)

Wow, man! Thanks for that, and for following everything, that means a hell of a lot :)

As for behind-the-scenes, if the show gets popular, I want to make those on a regular basis. It would help me engage with the audience more.

As for the "plasticy" look, that is kind of what I'm going for. That cheap look from old shows like Star Trek. It's supposed to look a bit like they're just models on strings on a green screen.

I am working on creating a Han-Solo esque space costume. I'll also need to work it into an episode so I can make the joke that he's been wearing his shirt for several months straight (he is a Drifter) and needs to get some new clothes. :D

Nope... so much nope... lol, but thanks for the site recommendation. Everything seems expensive, but at the least, I could get some ideas to make my own costume

I've never used it but people do costume creation of stuff on etsy.com

Also you could put out a craigslist ad usually someone will put something together for you for a reasonable price. But it's not going to be a $15 pre packed costume like you'd find at a halloween store.
