Sony vs. JVC help!

I am looking into getting a camera, I have to options. Go test out and see in person The Sony HDR-XR500v
or Purchase off the internet a JVC HD6 or HD7. I am having a really hard time choosing between one of these.
I really like the 120gb Hard Drive on the Sony, but i like the look of the JVC's.
What one has better quality and would you recommend? I saw a video on youtube with the JVC Which was absolutely stunning, and have seen few on the sony. I really need some advice!! Both Cameras have the features I want, but if there is a better camera that can be purchased somewhere in Seattle, Bellingham, or somewhere in between WA. Where I can physically go and see the camera that would be great! And I looked at the sony and when i zoomed in close on an item it was really really blurry. Is that a defect or do I have to adjust settings?

Lastly, I need the camera to be compatible with BOTH Mac and PC because I havent made a choice yet.

The quality of both cameras depends on the user. If you
took both of them into a room, set them up side by side
and used the full auto function you wouldn't be able to
tell the difference. Both are fine cameras.

The out of focus image you saw could be one of several
possibilities and have nothing to do with the camera at all.

I have tried both cameras and chose the JVC. While the
120GB HDD on the Sony is nice I've never had the need for
that much recording time. And do you really need a built-in
GPS receiver on a camera? The 1/2" CMOS is quite nice,
but I prefer 3 CCD's.

I know this won't help but if you flipped a coin you would
get a fine camera.

The main concern I have with these cameras is, aren't the hard drives built-in permanently? If that's the case, I would strongly recommend something else, cus if the hard drives die, the cameras are rendered useless.
