Social Brain Wave: News

If the thanks was directed at me, you shouldn't thank me. ^_^"
I've got to get people to hear my stuff some how.

Anyway, today, considering the fact I'm actively taking part in a film forum I thought I should make music that's relevant to film for a change, as usually it's game related. Kind of feel I have to prove I can to some people.
So here's "Sheer Determination" (crappy title, I know).

Yes it was for you... And I liked the title, and the music.

As for everyone else, I uploaded a new video tonight. It's a couple minutes of relaxing music and some pretty birds, if you're into that sort of thing...

Mission was a success. I have 2 episodes of Griffin and Gretchen on the way. We need to get some establishing shots for a couple scenes, but so far so good.

Production: I wrote the script without solid locations in mind. Never again. Concessions had to be made, scenarios had to be changed. Still, I think we did okay for a first effort.

Miken has taken ill, and will be unable to keep up the SBW youtube channel. He wanted me to relay his apologies and well wishes for the future. As per his request, I have stepped in. I am currently updating the channel to have a featured selection from each of the main contributors in this thread.

Whenever you have a new video you want added to your feed or subtracted, let me know.

Also, keep me abreast of twitter messages you want sent, or you can update it yourself. Also, make sure you are following each of us on twitter. I am @Lyndrick on there.

My webseries Griffin and Gretchen will launch soon. Doing post work on it now.

Also, will work on the SBW website in the next week or so. Launching the webseries first.

Are you going to be ok running everything then? If you like I can organise the YT channel for you. I don't know if it would work considering it's attached to a gmail account but if you find a way I'd be more than happy to do all the dirty work on the YT side.

Send him my wishes for a speedy recovery... Though it sounds like a long term problem. Best of luck.

When I get this first batch of work done we can figure something out. I don't have details, but I think it is a long term issue.

Griffin and Gretchen. Two episodes. Basically a series of master shots. We had an audio mishap. So we ended up with really bad camera audio. Look for future episodes to be much better.

Congratulations on getting these completed!
I honestly did enjoy the distinct characters and look forward to see where their development leads.
I also like the brief opening bit before titles. Nice.

Yep, the audio needs work. You know what you need there.
White balance. Even auto WB would be great.
Anyone available for some camera movement?
The all "tripod with camera aperture @ f11" is kinda... yeah.

Thank you. We ran out of time, honestly. It was just before the snow storm hit, so we had a couple days to do everything. I had a shot list that we never really got to delve into.

I am pretty certain we will get better with each taping.

Cool stuff! It got a couple of giggles from me.
You should consider cleaning your audio a bit using noise reduction plugins (if you want to do it cheap look at my post on this page: http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=46536&page=2). You could fill in the audio issues with music too, maybe.

Thank you. I will look into those. Honestly, I may end up handing things off to one of you guys if you are interested in helping with post production. Especially sound.

Hrmmm well that can be a lot of work and it's not something I'd take lightly if I did it. If you want to talk about it with me then send me PM.
Simply fixing the audio will mean I'd use specialist software I already own, not the free solutions I tell people about to get them started with a tight budget, plus the time to mix it all. My job is as a composer and I do the mixing for amateur productions as a favour but it's not my speciality.

Anyway if you want that, get in touch and we'll have a chat.

Griffin and Gretchen Re-uploaded with better audio. Thanks to MetalRenard...

Added Places of Nature Fog, RC Cars Playing in the Dirt, Woodpeckers and Cardinals, Busting City, and Griffin and Gretchen to the video collections on the youtube page.

I added a new background. I also added an account icon.
