Are slang words such as " gonna", " ain't" or " gimme" allowed in a screenplay, or should you avoid them and write their regular version (eg: " going to" , " give me")? PS: I've noticed that, by using them, you can save some space in a dialogue!

A silly reason to use slang.PS: I've noticed that, by using them, you can save some space in a dialogue!
Dialogue should represent the character. Yes, slang and contractions are allowed in dialogue.

Establish the characters pattern of speaking a little at a time, then throw in a reminder occasionally, but don't overwhelm the reader.
