Should I Be Here?

I don't want to annoy any professionals here. I am not sure if this forum is for ametuers like myself.

I have worked on a couple of video projects for my church and discovered I love shooting and editing video. I have purchased a Canon XL1s DV camcorder and use Pinnacle Studio V11 to do my editing. I hope to learn more about making great videos.

Absolutely! This is a place for everyone to learn and even though some have more expereince than others, there are those who have more expereince than them - just about everyone can be considered an ametur when compared to someone else - the fact that you love what you do is the only reason you need for being here.
 
Check around a little. Read some of the other posts, read
the answers given and if you feel the professionals here
are annoyed by the amateurs then you can try another
forum.

I suspect if you read even six or seven threads you'll get a
pretty good feel of this place and the people who post.
 
The great thing about this forum is the range of people posting here, there are plenty of people just starting and then there are people with years of experience. This is a great place to exchange information, I consider myself an amateur and I've already learned lots of great stuff here.
