Do you think I should make some shorts before trying to make something much bigger?
This is debatable, but my personal vote is ALWAYS start with shorts and work up to a feature. Not so much as a writer, but as a filmmaker. Learn the craft of making movies from the building blocks of scenes and ideas. Think of shorts as "practice" or a "scrimmage" for the big game.
Stop doing that. Do NOT start a script until the current oneI have loads of ideas, I've got loads of unique ideas in my head and loads of ideas jotted down which resulted in about 10 scripts which are half finished...
Glad to see you have answered this question. I think you're right.Do you think I should make some shorts before trying to make something much bigger?
My tip is not try to compress a long story into a shorter version. But for shorts I have a hard time compressing the story into a shorter version compared to writing a full length feature grr..... Does anyone have any tips about the kind of structure i should keep ?
