sales-options Sell Script or Finished Film

Hello everyone! So I've come to a cross road in my career (not that it's really a career yet). My question is: would it be better for me to write and (try to) sell a few scripts, or produce a passion project of mine. I believe I could write 2 scripts in a year (give or take), and put off the film until next year, or do the film this year. My concern is that I won't have enough credibility to get the funding I need. Thanks for your help!

You won't have enough credibility to get the funding you need without
some sort of track record. So a few screenplay sales will help. Both
selling a script and producing a movie can take several years so you
can work on BOTH at the same time. Do the passion project this year
as you try to sell a few scripts.
