Hey everyone! This is my first post on here, I know how it is when people are just starting, so I'll just introduce myself as quickly as possible!

My name is Sean Babas, I'm 17 and a senior in high school in Michigan. I've been really getting into video production and finally after a few years of making videos decided to join a forum that's just about what I love!

Anyways, here's my reel, sorry for the amateurity of it, seeing it's just my high school work, but hopefully I'll get some great insight from you guys here and start to know everyone. Thanks!

I would love to have seen it but I got nothing. I pressed play and nothing so I am going to assume its this computor - because all I got was a black screen.

So I will try it later - because I would love to see it.
 
For 17, you have some really nice imagery there. Keep up the practice, and surround yourself with talented people.
 
Watched about half of it. Looked pretty good, but was surprised at how few shots of faces there were. Lots of bodies/motion/etc - just found that a bit weird.

I thought about that a lot. Since most of the stuff I've shot in the past has been with people my age, I thought people might not take it too seriously if it was just a bunch of kid's faces and what not, so that's why I generally veered away from putting those kind of shots in. I've got some new stuff lined up with older people that hired me for music videos and stuff, so hopefully my next reel will definitely have a lot more of those face shots in there!

Ya, that is interesting...can't say that I don't blame you. Truth is...as long as it looks good...we can respect your skill as a DP or whatnot...the problem I have are films where teenagers play doctors, lawyers, etc...that's what I can't take seriously.

But skill is skill.
