Scandinavian moviemaker joins the club...

Hey there folks!

My name's Lasse, 20 years old and I come from, and live in, Norway. This is also the first filmmaking community I join.

I work at the cinema and at the airport. That is, handling expensive airplanes at one place and expensive projectors at the other.
I'm a "hobby historian" of war history - particularly war history - particularly WW2. In details. Great details. I also enjoy constructing and painting scale models - having two awards at IPMS as well.

I ain't no big idea-maker nor a director. I got plenty of ideas, but they all got so many plot-holes that it ain't funny. The little experience I got shows I am more into production design, prop building, camera operating and as an assistant directors - making sure people are doing what they are to do. And that kind of stuff.

I only make movies in my spare time, working close with a good friend of mine with a lot more experience. Right now we are working on a short (about living life) and a musicvideo that's going to be shot anamorphic. We are seriously considering moving to Oslo as well, to try to live off of movieproduction.

Well, that's the short story of me. If there are any questions, just ask!
Cheers!

Thanks all!

@Fernando: Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards is, in my opinion, a masterwork. Now of course the story is rather unrealistic and the movie never meant to be a documentary anyways. But I am awestruck by the visual historical details they included. In particular the costume of Landa's assistant towards the end. Remember him? He operated the radio and was the driver. That costume just had all the correct details! Great!

@Zensteve: Yes, I have also already experimented with it! Here's a quick and dirty test with a very small model, to see if it was even possible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lR09...DvjVQa1PpcFMFXQfWfegEQXz1_rHxfJql_4bSGR3OonE=

It turns out it was! I am currently constructing models to be used specifically for film as well. Stay tuned ;)

Thanks again!
