Yeah, I've always thought of Tarantino approaching even the most somber and violent parts of his movies with the most childlike enthusiasm.

Fun clip but I think it demonstrates quite clearly why it's a folly for so many young directors to try and emulate Tarantino.
For Tarantino it's about loving film and films rather than making films like, say, Scorcese. But people who see and like Tarantino's movies assume that machine gun dialogue, dark humour, jukebox soundtracks, pulpy title cards...etc are all ingredients they should bring to their films.
Long story short: I like Sam Jackson.
