Rock music available

Hi, My name is Jeff Kollnot from a band called Raptor School. We have an 11 track album and we are offering use of any of our music for film related projects. The stlye could be considered a type of uplitfting heavy rock. The songs are uplifting but also intense. You could say it has the sprit of U2 but with the power of Metallica. The vocals don't sound like any of those 2 bands either so it is an interesting mix of influences. There are a few slower songs as well. There is also 1 track that is completely instrumental. You can listen to some of the songs at www.myspace.com/raptorschool. If you want to hear the whole album it can be downloaded from a variety of websites when you google us. ] We hope we can be of help! Thanks, Jeff Kollnot

We are looking to be paid the standard rate for royalties.
So you changed from free to paid pretty fast.

By the way there is no standard rate for royalties, in fact, there are no royalties for film rights. The music becomes a part of the film forever (unless a step-deal) by signing a synchronization license and a master use license.

ASCAP and BMI don't handle this, it is for the artist/songwriter (licensor) and filmmaker/producer (licensee) to figure out. At the indie/unknown level it's usually free, giving the artist exposure. Major label artists get a one-time fee. There is no standard.

Thought you should know how it works since you are asking for the "standard" rates.
Here's some info: www.ascap.com/filmtv/faq.html

Good luck.
