Renting a film studio in NYC?

Hello, does anyone know of any good studio to rent in NYC? I wanna do a scene in an apartment and I don't have a location set. Also, it's for a horror short so there would be a lot of blood. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why rent a studio? Contact some actors who have their own apartments, make a deal to put them in your film in exchange for using their apartment to shoot... unless you have something very specific you need....

None of them are cheap.

When you asked your friends and the actors in you movie did you offer
a rental fee? What ever you can afford for studio space you could offer
to a friend, family member or member of your crew to use their place.

Since you weren't specific in you first post I can tell you right now that
most of the links I gave you do not have standing apartment sets so
not only will you have to rent the space but you will have to build and
furnish the set. What you seem to be looking for is a standing, fully
furnished apartment set in NYC that is very cheap.

Even with a public location, filmmakers are expected to leave a shooting location in the condition they were given the location to work with. So, you will need to come up with a way to clean up all of the blood and leaving no trace of it before you leave.

Another option is to find an independent filmmaker with their own studio and pay them to shoot your film in their studio.

At any rate, you will need to save up some money with work from a job or jobs to increase your budget to make a better quality film.
