Good Stuff..the sound is what sells it to me as much as the visuals IMO

And the actor selling the shot by showing recoil, or at least the gun shaking.

Thanks guys Im gonna be making a short action film soon and im trying to find loads of new ways of making it look really real. Im also trying out lots of cool new effects and techniques. Let me know if you got any suggestions of things I could try.

it was ight but not very good. the sound was terrible, and sound accounts for 50% of the flash

Sound makes up for a lot...
