Producer who invest money.
CO- producer ,who invest along with producer.
may be 50- 50.
Executive producer?
Less percentage than co-producer.
1-20% .
If movie does profit, all get the share based on percentage of investment done.
FINANCIER?
He finances for the movie.
he lends money to producer or production company in return for interest/ commission.
No matter how much profit a movie does, financier is not going to be part in profit sharing.
Even if movie goes doomed , financier still gets promised interest amount.
In short movies, situation arises when started movie might about to get stalled.
to avoid it , actors of that movie them self go on to finanace for producer to finish it.
Here, producer finds/convinced movie not suppose to do very well, then he trickily convinces the actors to become executive producers instead of financiers, so that he may not have to return them money even if movie doesn't do well.
In short movies,
there are instances , where people who get main role become co-producer with 30-30 % investment.
and co-stars , may be ...if 4 persons, they go with 10% investment each on their side.
I f actors are totally interested in building their showreel and profile strong , then these actors are seen mostly as executive producers trying to help out producers and themselves.
