editing Problem Rendering W/ Sony Vegas Pro 9

We're trying to render a video around 7mins long,1080 quality, we used Sony Vegas Pro 9 to edit it. When we rendered it the first time, we did it in 1080-24pYUB and the format was AVI. The audio was choppy at places. The second time, we tried 1080i-60iYUB w/ AVI format and the audio was even worse and so was the video. Any info on what we can do to make it render properly?

are you sure the renders the problem? Are those uncompressed outputs? That much data might just be dragging your PC down on playback.

Can you burn to a bluray? you could try and down convert one of those outputs, to test if the down converted files has the same audio issues..

Make sure you have turned off Smart Resample, it makes the quality very blotchy and choppy and is set as on in Vegas 8/9 as default. Fille>Switches>Disable Resample. You have to highlight all footage for this to take effect.
