Preview Screen Issues with Adobe Premiere Elements

Unlike Sony Vegas Pro and Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Adobe Premiere Elements preview screen cuts off the left and right areas of the image by a few inches, even selection HD 16:9 ratio screen for the project.

Does anyone have a solution or fix for the preview screen?

I haven't used elements.

In pro you just stretch the window out, zoom it out (show it at 25% instead of 50%) or select stretch to fit, which scales the video to the window size.

Do you have those options?

Dont know elements, but I know in premiere pro the project settings dictate the size of the preview screen. Perhaps you're not setting up the project correctly for you footage.

It is set correctl. I verified it on the Preferences settings screen for the video.

I have to use the full screen option for playback for the full picture. The aspect ratio does not automatically adjust itself on the edit screen like in Vegas. Drag the ends is another doable option. But, there is less screen space for the edit menues and timeline that way.
