watch PRETTY DEAD THINGS: not your average vampire flick.

Hey guys.

The team I work with all the time--Scorpio Film Releasing--is finally releasing a feature that's been sitting on a release for two years.

PRETTY DEAD THINGS (one of my favorite SFR movies) is about a group of vampire ex-porno actors...it's crazy...it's funny...it's really well shot and edited...and has a great cast. You guys would really dig this, seriously.

Check out the trailer (NSFW):

Wow. All these views, and not one response? lol.

Personally I think this is an awesome trailer. I've seen the movie (twice), and I can assure you it's highly entertaining.

It may not be a movie you watch with your kids...but it's actually really well done--and you'd be surprised what the budget was.

And again: NSFW

Did you want feedback on the trailer?

Well, not necessarily...but it is a film we are releasing, and usually people say something about that...like congrats. Not that I'm looking for kudos. But it's definitely a unique film with a lot of flare, and I thought it would at least invoke some kind of response, whether it be, 'this sucks' or 'good show' or 'interesting concept.'

*shrugs*

Ashley Eaton's a cutie.

Yah, I watched the trailer a while back. Scorpio seems to have their target audience pretty well defined.

Hilarious looking film. :)

I didn't see you listed in the credits, btw.

I'm 80% of the time either at work or with my kids jumping up and down behind me so I didn't get a chance to watch it until now. Looks like a bloody delicious and sexy fun romp! Congrats on the release...why was it sitting on the shelf until now? Does the recent popularity rise of all-things-vampire have anything to do with it?

I've only seen some of the SFR trailers, none of the complete films, so maybe this is misplaced, but I'm noticing a definite SFR stylebook. Does this have the same writer/director as Nun of That?

This is two films before I came into the mix with SFR. After PDT they did SPLATTER DISCO which my wife starred in, and then BEYOND THE DUNWICH HORROR, which I scored from meeting my then girlfriend Sarah, who introduced me to the director Richard Griffin.

The SPLATTER DISCO trailer is great too, but the sound was disabled due to a copyright infringement. We used a remix of a Christmas song for the opening...apparently that ain't cool. Pshhh.

But you know...they're all my good friends now, so I like to promote when I can. Ya, Ashley is a cutie...she's not even an actress really, but she did a great job.

I'm not exactly sure why it didn't come out a few years back.

And yes, all Scorpio Film Releasing films are directed by Richard Griffin--and he shoots 95% of them too. He's definitely got a recognizable style.

I'm not sure about the popularity of Vampires...but ya, that can play into some people's decisions on what to shoot next. It's either Vampires or Zombies...back and forth. I think because of Twilight, we've got the Vampire thing under wraps. :) Just cooincidence though.

You can see all the released SFR films here: www.scorpiofilmreleasing.net --there are only five available to the public, however we've shot a total of 8 or so. Also a few films not listed on the site, which Richard has DP'd, are from other companies.
