Premier has been scheduled!

"Waiting on Alphie" is going to have it's regional, invite-only, premier on Sunday, August 14th at 2 PM at an underground theatre in Ithaca NY. We have already oversold the theatre (by about 20 seats ... just banking on some people not attending) and have a corpoate sponsor for the event and a HUGE Hummer SUV limo to take the execs, actors and VIPs to and from the theatre. We are, understandably, very excited about all this and can't wait to witness the audience's response.

From there, the DVD-screener goes to four Producers Reps across the country (who have all requested copies) and gets packaged up for the early Sundance deadline. After all our hard work it's going to be VERY rewarding having people actually SEE our movie!

Speaking of SEEING this movie. The theatre has a 48 foot throw and the projector we WERE going to use has a 32.8 foot throw. Anyone have any ideas on which is the best LCD projector that can fill the screen in this theatre from 48 feet (actually it can be 45 feet). We are planning on purchasing one and re-selling it after the event or returning it to the store!

Let me know! Thanks.

That's awesome!

I'll guess that it's playing at the Fall Creek Theater, or the one underneath Center Ithaca.

(No idea about projector)

It's playing at Cinemapolis. The movie actually takes place underground so having it screened underground is going to add to the entire experience.
