PR to AE Workflow

Hey guys, I need a major help from this community. After i finish my filming. I go to premiere and sequence everything in order. Make cuts, shorten clips, etc. Just until the video is all done except the special effects. But how can i send one clip to AE to edit instead of opening up the original file and then replace it into premiere. Any input on this? Hope you guys understand.

Hmm I tried premiere with the trial thingy, I think you can right click on the shot you need to apply special effects to, and press replace by AE comp

consider the idea of LOCKING the edit.

This means, you finish editing first. Maybe use what ever tools Premiere has to create "slap comps" (rough just to help you edit)

When the edit is all done, then its a simple matter to start AE and IMPORT the premiere project file. This works easy as cake. Now you do all your Visuals including any color correction etc in AE. Make your final renders from AE.

AE has a better render engine then PP.
