Opinions on Panasonic Lumix GH2 for video?

Im almost ready to buy this camera. Any lovers or haters of this particular camera? I can't find anything else to compare in the $800 USD price range.

I am, however, worried about audio quality with this unit. Being a newb, I would rather not use a totally separate recorder for audio to keep it simple, but - I would be willing to hook up a $250 shotgun mic directly to the camera. Any suggestions on comments on this? I think that should help alot

Hey dude, if you're looking at the GH2, the GH3 was announced like yesterday. It'll probably be more expensive, but if you wait a little bit, the GH2 price will drop.

Also, the audio dudes here will tell you that mounting a mic to the camera won't get you good audio.

It depends a bit of your goal, the kind of work. But in my opinion, GH2 is not only a good camera in it's cost range, but it truly faces a lot of more expensive cameras when you use it with the highest hacks. Just depends on what are you going to shoot.
