online conversation

Sorry if this has been answered previously, I did do a search but couldn't find anything :(
My problem is this: two characters (teenage girls) have a very important conversation via an instant messaging program (like msn or something). Now how in the hell do I write that?
What they're talking about is something the main girl does not want her parents over-hearing, so that's why she's not using a phone.
I assume it would be similar to a phone conversation with cutting back and forth, but I don't know how to write what they're writing, if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance :D

Woops! Im sorry it's 2 in the morning and I read that too fast. I thought she was trying to get the conversation into her short. Now I realize shes trying to write it in her script...going back to my corner

No idea what the proper formatting is.

If it's any help, here's how I'd do it:

Johnny sits at the computer. He begins to type.

INSERT: Computer screen, chat-text appears:

TYPES: "JohnnyReb14: How r u today, Pumpkin Face? :)"

A beat. TEXT appears in reply:

"SuzieBigBoobs: They're swinging, honeybuns. :P"

TYPES: "JohnnyReb14: It's all good when they swing free!"

"SuzieBigBoobs: You can't handle the tits!"

TYPES: "JohnnyReb14: Aye. They're on their own."

etc.
