I have found $25 million funding for the production of Reggie Von. However there a re a few hoops i have to jump through to get it (of course it can never be simple) . i have to get registration etc. and I plan to crowdfund the money to get funds necessary to document everything. However i am having an issue with something that could be simple, but of course I'm (predictably) having trouble. If you have an Amazon payments business account or can make one contact me via personal email unionfilms14@gmail.com and I will give you the links and password to attach your account. to avoid scam i will happily send you copy of photo ID and I will expect the same.

it is first come first served and i offer a royalty of the box office.
 
Wait. This sounds fishy to me. What part of the $25M do I get and when would I get it? Is Reggie Von somebody important and do I have to share with him? This isn't a porno, is it? Because I won't put up with having my name on a goddamned porno flic.
 
It's the name of the film.....and I don't know who you've been working with but i don't make pornos.
"Reggie Von" is the name of the film.

$25 million is to produce and distribute the film...any questions please email me and don't put remarks like "is this a porno" in the public.

Ok, got it. Sorry, just wanted to make sure. You never know nowadays. There's all kinds of con artists and riff-raff out there. Some guy from Nigeria who claimed he was some kind of prince wanted me to give him $10,000 and he'd give me a couple million dollars in return. Fortunately, I read about it on the internet; it was a scam!

So how does this work? I'd give you money, lots of it, but obviously you're already funded up the wazoo. So anything else I can do to help to get my cut of the royalties?

Why can't you just get a letter of intent or something from the investors and use that to secure a loan from a bank and then hire an entertainment lawyer?

Why is everyone being so suspicious? This sounds like a fantastic deal.

LoL ...that was more of the response I was looking for.

I understand skeptical peole though...there are more scammers than legit people sadly.
government needs to do more to help get rid of em.

i also need help starting an indiegogo campaign...it runs really slow on my
laptop and I'm beyond frusrated.
 
I would have thought, for $25mil the speed of a laptop would be the last of your worries.

There's a reason people are skeptical: If an offer is too good to be true, it often is. If you had $25mil, you'd go to someone with a track record with making $25mil films, not to an amateur filmmaking forum.

If it's legit, then your "American commercial lender" lends to films, which limits you to a few lenders. Those lenders don't lend unless you already have pre-sales. If you have pre-sales, you already have the package together. If you already have a package together, then it's relatively safe to assume you're already mostly set and anyone here wouldn't be close enough to be qualified to be worth you having them join your team.

Perhaps you need proof of concept to get to this stage, but saying you have $25mil secured is with at best BS and at worst, a ticket to the slammer.

Who knows, maybe you're just trying to scam someone out of some free work to get a crowdfunding pitch done. If this was the case, you would have been better off being up front with your situation. Someone may have been more than willing to step up to the plate. This place has heaps of people willing to give a guy a break like that. If this is your case, you've already burned your bridges. Time to move elsewhere.

As it stands, it looks like it's most likely a money laundering scheme. Perhaps a cash advance scam. Even if you're above board, it comes across as shady as f**k.

I won't wish you luck. You either don't need it or don't deserve it.
 
I'm sorry if this has been asked before (as this subject has several active threads), but do you have any films, short or feature, that you could point us to? I find it hard to believe that a firm would give 25 mil to someone whose never produced anything before.

No firm is giving him money. He found a lending company and
is hoping he can borrow 25 million from them. In the other
threads this is discussed. Having so many different threads on
this one issue does get confusing.
