archived-videos My very first short film

Hi!
I just wanted to share with you and get your opinion on my first short film I made back in 2010 when I had no completely idea what I was doing.. I used my home camcorder canon fs100 and had nothing... it was all improvised and filmed over 2 hours...

I got inspired by the YouTube teenage bully and suicide that happened back in 2009-2010

For a first (or second or third) short this is very well done. I like that you did everything yourself, acting, shooting - all of it. REFLECTION doesn't suffer from the usual bad angles, when one is in front of the camera, as well as framing. You have the eye for this.

I also watched YOU AND ME NOW. I utterly despise the current trend of "kill the baby" horror (SERBIAN FILM, HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2, SEED, etc.), but you do have obvious talent with camera, lighting, editing and actors. I'm positive you will be making a good living with filmmaking, before long.

You've the filmmaking techniques down pat -- haven't seen one this good in a few months, but the breakfast making routine was a tidious. The viewer should never have to wonder when the pouring of hot water was going to stop. If I'm thinking about that, I'm also thinking if the rest of the film is going to be like that.

But you're way ahead of all the other recent shorts I've viewed here. So good luck to you.
