My Premiere is tonight

So wish me luck guys. We're a "critics pick" in the local alternative paper "The Nashville Scene", and have already pre-sold about 100 tickets (on the theatre website) for a 370 seat theatre (bigger than I thought). One of my performers even arranged through a friend for us to have limo service in exchange for a plug on the program for the limo company, so we're doing it up right.

This is the moment of truth, when the credits roll the audience will either erupt in applause, or I'll hear polite golf claps, that's when I'll know what I have.

I know, in exchange for their logo on the program, got 3 limos for $45 each (plus tip) for the entire night, so we get to roll up to the premiere in style.

Well Good luck and i hope it goes well for you, and even if some people hate it and half of them walk out, it just means you have somthing new and unique and thats better than somthing generic and boring.

I went great! We had about 200 paid which netted me about $1000, great crowd response.

Budget was $5000, but spent close to $6000 on production and probably another $1000 since then on promotion, festival submission, etc...

I spent that much on a 33:22 short.

It's certainly possible to make a feature on that budget, but I don't envy you. It was very, very tough to make a short of that length for that amount of money.
