watch Music Video for upcoming hip-hop artist!!

Honest opinion? I'm a harsh critic haha. But you've asked for it.

I didn't like it.

I got bored with the shots at about :20 second mark, because they're pretty much all the same. Park, baseball field, white sky, park, baseball field, white sky...

and wtf is @ 2:45? lol That's just weird.

A note to the director/filmmaker:

If he is talking about being more successful, then your job as a filmmaker to show that. You need to show that he has what he is talking about. He is using you to promote himself so you have to SHOW us what he is talking about. But so far you just shown a young dude with saggy pants and a green hat rapping about success, but he is dancing by himself in a park and a dock, acting like a huge dork (yep, talking about 2:45), and I simply don't believe that he can do what he talks about.

Take the slider, grab that dude and find a nice place to reshoot (read: create an illusion of what he is). Don't use that park, because it was really lame. But maybe a great looking house or a boat, or somewhere fancy..

im not being funny, but if your friend works with bigger names in the industry, i hope you mean as in not producing videos for them, coz that was crap, sorry honest opinion, it was boring, theres nothing artistic about it.

its just one person doing their lyrics which didnt even seem in sync, it was just a typical video, which de-valued the song.

if i had seen this on youtube without seeing your post, i would have thought a bunch of 13 year olds decided to make a rap video

Just wanted to thank you both for your honest opinions, that's what I asked for! I forwarded on these comments and he's taking them in, he agrees with a lot of what you both had to say and appreciates the criticism. He's always looking to get better of course, and this only helps. Thanks a lot, seriously!
