I am looking to film 2 short films next summer. I was wondering, Is there any way to get funding for my short films to help pay expenses needed?

Credit Cards, Crowd Funding, money from family and close friends, working a second job and saving the money for your productiom, and winning a lottery.
Pretty much everyone pays for their own shorts out of pocket since there's not really a paying audience for them. Welcome to low/no budget filmmaking!
There's a specific funding body in most countries called the "Bank of Mummy and Daddy". In some countries it's called the "Friends and Family Borrowing CoOp". Good luck!
As Paul said, no one in their right mind really invests in shorts as there is really no paying market for them.
Though, there is one exception. Youtube. If you're one of their top content providers, they have been known to give loans to improve content quality... Catch 22 right?
I have in excess of $10K of my own money in my four shorts over the past 4 years and maybe $2K of other people's money (crowd funded)
What exactly are your expenses for the two short films? Do you
have a complete line item budget?
No short should be over a couple hundred bucks -- mostly for unavoidable expenses -- like food and gas. Use the equipment you have on hand and/or borrow for free. Develop your filmmaking technique to perfection. Save your money for a feature.
