Most UNDER-RATED Director?

I thought that Kyle Newman poured a lot of love into Fanboys, and it didn't get the response it deserved. It's one of my favorite films.

I never thought of Polanski as underrated.

Six Oscar nominations and one win, Golden Globes, the Palme d'Or.
Almost everyone knows his name and every film fan can name at
least two of his movies.

I agree to some extent with your notion on what an under-rated director is considered to be. In response to this thought, I must say that Buñuel has not received the recognition and/or acknowledgement that he deserves by critics, viewers, or peer filmmakers during his film making career, in an overall sense.

This having been stated, I think that Buñuel has received much lesser acknowledgement for his prowess in the film making industry in comparison to quite a large number of directors whom unrighteously gained more recognition than "the Master", Buñuel.

The Farrelly Bros.

Sure, everybody knows their movies, but I think they're kind of looked down on, by critics and filmmakers, alike. With rare exception, I love their movies. Can't wait for to see their take on The Three Stooges!
