Make up for men ?

Hello everyone :)

I have no idea if someone has already asked that but i am boy (15) and i am looking for that make up that actors use.. you know the real thing :) any suggestions where i could find that ? :)

Thanks in Advance :)

My makeup artists generally use air brush makeup these days. HD has kind of ended the days of old fashioned pancake. Regular drug store makeup is fine IF it is applied correctly. For men it has to be done very carefully so they don't look "made up".

Regular drug store makeup is not fine. Most contain sunblock products which cause an unnatural glow to the camera. Also, do not use a base or primer than contains sunblock. All of these products refract light (due to the zinc oxide content).
My wife does make-up for film and the stuff she uses most for conventional make-up comes from Ben Nye and is formulated for HD. Conventional make-up is too course for HD work. Also, while she uses air-brush make-up, blowing it on causes some texture issues and she is not always provided with a location that affords adequate ventilation so she applies it with brushes. Although she is not a member of this forum, if you need more info I can give you her email addy via PM.

Ben Nye, Max Factor La Roche and MAC are the standard (real
thing) in the industry. I've seen makeup artists use Kenmen
and swear by it. Cover FX and ColorTration are newer brands
that are the real thing.

The one I've heard of the most is Ben Nye. The makeup people I've worked with swore by it. Personally I've never had to really worry about that stuff for theater or film. With films I had to wear heavy alien makeup, and then there was that molding stuff they slapped all over me to make a fake head, but I never had to wear anything simple or basic.

Just never encountered that issue on the few shoots I was involved in before I started hiring a MUA. Drug store makeup vs no makeup, I'll take drug store makeup. That said, using an experienced MUA is the best route.
