Macbook pro vs Imac

Hey Guys

I want to buy a Mac to use for final cut pro HD.

I am tossing out whether I should buy a 27" Imac i5 or a 17" Macbook pro i5.

I realise that the macbook pro is around a thousand dollars more then the imac but the reason I am thinking about that is because if I get stuck with an editing problem etc then I can just take the laptop and let someone look at the edit rathar then lug round the massive screen and have to plug into a power point etc

So theres my question, a laptop or desktop? Also I think the imac is a bit faster then the macbook pro cos it can cool down quicker but I don't know too much...

please help!

I use both for editing. They are both up to the task. So
it comes down to your needs, not the acceptability of the
machine. It seems you have already answered your own
question. You want to be able take the laptop and let
someone look at the edit rathar then lug round the massive
screen and have to plug into a power point, etc. If that is
something you need then buy the laptop.
