Loking 4 an Agent

Here is my pitch, without giving too much away:

Four college students get caught in a drug bust. Sent to prison. While in prison one divises a plan to "process marijuana" (read the script, youll see what I mean) into an easily sold and smoked substance. By doing so, this marijuana becomes much more easy to traffic and it ends up becomming the "new crack". This in turn pisses off the South American drug cartels and the DEA. The script contains a ton of action, love, betrayal and a twist. I currently have a director out of the UK who is interested in the script, a Jeff Naylor. Apparently he has done quite a bit TV wise in the UK. I live in California and am intrested in an agent. Any info on Jeff Naylor would also be a help.

Yes, as in have I copyrighted the screenplay? Or yes as you are an agent? Thanks for the info. He seem's like a nice guy, at least from my brief contact with him. I realize COPYRIGHT does not protect ideas, and that is what I fear might be stolen, although the story itself is a very good one. THIS screenplay is my PULP FICTION.

I am not an agent. Just hoping that you have taken appropriate measures to protect your interests.

You owe it to yourself to register the scripts, if you are genuinely planning on making some bucks from this.

I'd hate to see you end up like Sophia Stewart. :)

I think you'll find the Morrocans and Lebanese beat your character to that idea by about three thousand years

I don’t think agents troll the boards looking for new clients. I’m not even sure the few writers here with agents are willing to offer a referral based on messgaeboard pitch. I know I’m not.

Have you checked the list provided by the WGA and Done Deal and sent the proper ones letters of introduction?

You should pick up the “Hollywood Representation Directory”. With a TV director attached (assuming you can get him to sign on) it will be easier to find a smaller agency willing to take you on.
