Lessons for Filmmaking

Hi everybody this is my second post here in indietalk.com.I'm writting because I need some lessons about filmmaking, about photgraphy(lighting),composition, editing.Do you know any e-book or any site that can teach me how to make a REAL movie and not just being shooting and editing some random scenes?

No book will teach you as much as real world (reel world? :D) experience. Get out there and work on films with other people as well as making your own - you'll learn a lot!

I'm sure that others will chime in with good books about cinematography, lighting, etc., and I'm sure someone will trot out "Rebel Without A Crew."

For my part I'll recommend:

Sound and Vision - Michael Chion
The Practical Art of Motion Picture Sound - David Yewdall
The Location Sound Bible - Ric Viers
The Sound Effects Bible - Ric Viers
Dialog Editing - John Purcell
The Foley Grail - Vanessa Ament

I obviously have my own bias as a sound editor/mixer/designer, but

"Sound is half of the experience"

and too many filmmakers completely ignore sound, until it is much too late.

Honestly, Filmmaking for Dummies is a great book and is less about how to scrimp out an indie film but goes through the way you would make a film if you had a budget in the traditional sense.
