Hello!
Well, now that that's out of the way, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself! : )
My name is Willem. 23 years of age and I'm a Dutch indie film maker / artist.
(Under my own name as well as 'The NINTH').
I started out animating roughly 10 years ago. In 2005 I started filming using a 'Sony CyberShot' photo camera. Two years and a lot of crap productions later I upgraded to a JVC Everio (GM-Whatever) camcorder and from then on.. my filmmaking got serious. In 2008 I made my first proper film which scored me the first prize at a national fim festival in 2009. After that the films just kept on coming which has now resulted in regional, national and even international filmfestival succes!
My main reason for making films however, is to entertain a wider audience (not just a buch of uptight judges).
..but most of all, I make films to entertain myself.
Though I have some experience in filmmaking, I know there will always be a lot more to learn. Hence why I'm here. I'm hoping to share my experiences with others as well as learning from other people's experience.
Anyway, thanks for reading!
Will
