Joomla ain't so bad, after all.

First public screening is right around the corner. Movie's not finished but it's time to get that website up.

Trailer is the same rough trailer I showed you guys a few days ago (too much stuff going on right now). I think with home-field advantage, the trailer isn't super-important for this first screening. If/when we make the festival run, that's what I really need to perfect the trailer for, and the input I received was very helpful.

So when are you going to let me buy a copy, CF?

NOTE: Website is looking smart, bud. The production photo is a nice touch. Looks like it was a fun shoot.

Never mind. It's there, just running slowly for me. Could be my connection.

Good starter site. I agree with Zen, the still shots make the site for me. I remember seeing them on Facebook. They were what drew my interest in the first place.

Thanks, ya'll.

Nick, it was definitely very slow for a little while, not just your connection.

Papertwin, I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to seeing movies in the theater. So, I'm hoping most indietalkers (those who are interested, anyway) will have an opportunity to do so. Of course, I'm aiming for festivals to accomplish that. Unfortunately, that probably doesn't do much for the Brits and Aussies on this forum. You know of any festivals out your way that like to get small-budget American indies?

Hmmm, not that I know of. The only film-festivals I've attended here have all occured in the Summer.

Also, you should know, that my brother caught your trailer, and he's been quoting the first line for the past three days. "Yesur, she got some big 'ole..."

There's a lot of 'trying too hard to be funny' moments in this trailer. I hope you offer refunds to anyone who truly can't sit through the entire thing. How long is it btw?

Joomla's a great tool, once you've tamed the beast...

The site looks pretty good and I agree with anyone who's said the production stills are a nice feature. I'm curious about one thing though, in the stills there's a woman with blonde hair (she looks quite small but that could be the angle). I also saw this woman in a scene you edited about them ransacking her father's house. I get the impression she's a fair sized character in the film but she doesn't appear at all (to the best of my knowledge from a couple of previous viewings) in the trailer? Is there a reason why?

Nicole is definitely of petite build. But her character, Lainee, is huge. Lainee's story is absolutely central to "Antihero". Overrall, "Antihero" is the story of Pork Rind's transformation into a hero. Lainee's story is the catalyst that makes that transformation happen.

So, your question is obviously valid -- why the heck isn't she in the trailer? Well, that's something I still debate with myself. My reasoning is that in the trailer, I don't think I have to tell the particular story (Lainee's predicament) in order to give a glimpse of the overrall premise (Pork Rind's transformation).

If I do decide to tell more, Lainee's story will be the first thing that I'll add details about. Even if I don't tell more, I'm probably going to put some shots of Lainee in there, just to show that this movie is a little more expansive than just two dudes robbing houses.

Thanks for the input. By the way, now that the website is up, I'm ready for that interview. Cheers!
