Hey all!
I’m working on a new web series to begin shooting next winter in Madison WI. The series, Chic, is a comedy/drama about two Wisconsin women that are producing an erotic film where the sex advances the story, similar to the films of the 1970s “porn chic” era (hence the title).
We have several promotional videos already up on our website (www.film-local.com) and our YouTube channel (FL Madison). You can also Like us on Facebook (4114 Production House) or follow us on Twitter (@FilmLocal).
Now when most people read the plot (a show about making a porno), 9 times out of 10 the response is "Ohhh, like that Zack and Miri movie, right?" To which I always say, "Yes...except the opposite." Take Zack and Miri, and instead of two broke people trying to make a porno to pay rent, replace them with two broke women trying to make a good film with no budget. Exploring the merits of and problems with adult films (cinematically and not so much morally) adds intrigue and humor, but the series is actually a lot more about independent film production in general and all the struggles, rewards, and (sometimes) hilarious nightmares that come about because of it.
I'm sure *none* of you know what that's like
I’m producing this through the 4114 Production House, a company dedicated to local film production and global online film distribution. Our goal is to make our entertainment available online, for free, always.
If you have suggestions, advice or interest to express, we welcome those too!
