Is photo-lens review helpful for movie?

I plan to buy a lens and I have a question, so far without an answer. I have a Canon 550D/Rebel T2i.

While scanning through tests for Rebel photo-lens (it's a camera, after all), I came to wonder whether those tests are adequate for film-making? It's one thing taking a photo, and another one making a movie. Is it crucial to take into consideration small things like colour-changing and vigneting in RAW photos if that won't be visible when compressing it to fullHD video?

Thank you
