Interesting concept

Four walling is something that has been done for decades. Certainly
an option for any producer.

Interesting side note: the theaters in Los Angeles that did the most
four walling just went out of business.

The cost seems like you would lose money. You would need 583 $12 tickets to break even. That sounds like a small number. However, finding over 500 people to go to an indie movie instead of a NYC show or club would take a bunch of promotion. Which would cost a lot of money.

Still, someone probably could make it work if they did it right.

THE COST IS:

3 Films Sharing One Screen........................$7,000.00 per film.

2 Films Sharing One Screen........................ $10,000.00 per film.

1 Film Per Screen..................................... $18,000.00 per film.

Very true, finderskeepers.

Renting a theater is the smallest cost. Advertising can make or
break fourwalling. The theater in LA that closed couldn’t count on
the filmmakers advertising enough. I went several times only to
find myself in a theater with 4 or 5 people - 2 of whom were the
director and producer.

I always turn the concept back on the filmmaker. When do YOU pay
to see a movie in a theater that has been fourwalled? How do YOU
hear about these movies?

Excellent find, win. I'm going to add it to my bookmarks.
