I'm new, just saying hi.

I wish to be a fimmaker and do it all, I guess my first question is, how do you write a shooting or production script<if there's a difference>? How does it differ from a spec script?

On my end, a shooting script is one with shots put into it. For my script, I have all direction and camera shots and transitions included from the get-go, so it's ready to be 'shot'. A regular script would just be actions, dialogue, etc... nothing that specifically is telling a director what to do.

Not off the top of my head, just search around google until you find something. Since I only write scripts for myself, I don't really worry about strict protocol. I use Final Draft as well, it simplifies things quite a lot. If you can't afford that, Celtx is a GREAT alternative to Final Draft.
