I wonder which John Ford flick they found in NZ? I still need to see that new version of Metropolis that was found a few years back. I think it was released in a few arthouse cinemas earlier this year.

Edit: linked article says it was Upstream. Never heard of it.

The BBC were notorious for filming television shows on video, and then re-using the tapes for filming other shows almost straight after broadcast. Dumbos. :no:

A complete Dr Who collection would be amazing. :cool:
 
Heh, a long-lost Keystone Kop film, with Charlie Chaplin making a cameo, is showing this weekend.

The film turned up late last year at a Michigan antique sale. Film historian Paul Gierucki thought he was buying just another Keystone Studios comedy.
