I, Creator 2: Goddess Of The Hunt

I stitched this anamatic teaser together with conceptual artwork, stock sound effects, and stock royalty free music looking for a 1950s / 1960s science fiction feel. Talk about a zero budget teaser. This is it. Edited with Sony Vegas and the title was created with Adobe PhotoShop and saved as a transparent layer to animate.

The idea is to promote the hell out of bringing Artemis to I, Creator.

One of the original cyborgs is being replaced with a new talent who is better suited for action roles. So, I'm avoiding using live action footage from the original production.

So, here is my first teaser idea presented as an anamatic:

Okay! Thank you! I spent a weekend emersed watching Creation Of The Humanoids, Forbidden Planet, Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun, so the sound effects and music kind of stuck with me. I'm trying to use what I have in stock rather than buy new royalty free music for the teaser.

But, thank you for the feedback.

Rarely do trailers or posters use contractions in their taglines. It has more impact on an audience to use the full words.

"They will meet..." as opposed to "They'll meet"

One carries more weight and feels more serious. They other comes across as too casual and doesn't ring true. Seems small, but the subconscious affect can be pretty serious. Most marketing don't use contractions unless the target audience is very very specific to very young audience or specific demographics.

Just something small I noticed, more in the historical context of all trailers and posters of the past 30-40 years.

My recommendation is that you change the font. I can never remember what that font is called (Ariel?) but it's one of the default fonts on Microsoft programs, so it makes your trailer look a big Powerpoint-ish.

There are some great fonts out there (www.dafont.com) which I think would really help this teaser stand out.

Just my thoughts.

You know, I agree with you Nick. But, I got damned for trying to get too creative with fonts the last time. I tried to make the title resemble a printed circuit board with green and copper. Too many people could not understand why I was using those colors or green. So, this time I'm playing it safe.

It's under VIDEO FILE tab on the left side of your videos when you are logged in. It's one of the main reasons VIMEO is better than YOUTUBE because you can keep your stats and views with a new updated video file.
