My name is George and I'm a micro-budget movie-maker.

My first movie Us Sinners has been getting some exceptionally good reviews with most saying "Us Sinners is a movie for true horror fans". Of course the bad reviews have said it's the worse movie ever made. One person refused to call it a movie. But, it's all good.

I'm floating around advertising it. But, I'm also interested in learning more about shooting and self distributing. So hopefully I'll learn from this site.

You'd be surprised how some of the littlest most common sense tidbits go over a person's head till they're actually read or spoken.
 
Horror is a great genre to work in! Congrats for having fun and getting a few bad reviews. There is a saying - or maybe it isn't a saying - but getting a bad review is better than no review. Regardless of what they say, it sounds like your project is newsworthy.

There is a current thread going about self distribution. Check it out. There are a couple good tidbits.

In the meantime, good luck! Keep making movies.
